CHARLESTON — Long time Mingo County Delegate Harry Keith White is calling it quits.
In a letter to House leadership, White, of Gilbert, said he would resign from the House of Delegates at midnight, Monday, January 4 to work on “economic development in Mingo County and Southern West Virginia.”
White’s resignation means Democrat Governor Earl Ray Tomblin will apparently have another seat to fill before the 2016 legislative session begins in ten days. White was elected and is a Democrat.
Not so clear is the appointment of someone to replace Senator Daniel Hall, who was elected as a Democrat and changed to Republican.
Further details of White’s resignation and plans will be forthcoming in the Corridor Chronicle.
