CHARLESTON — Governor Earl Ray Tomblin and First Lady Joanne Jaeger Tomblin have announced plans for the Easter Carnival at the capitol complex in Charleston. The event will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., March 26.
The North Plaza of the complex will be transformed with games, prizes, good and appearance by the Easter Bunny, according to the Governor. Door prizes will be awarded for children under 12 at noon, he said.
“This annual event has become a favorite of West Virginia residents and their children for several years,” First Lady Tomblin said. “The Governor and hope that everyone, young and old, will come out again this year and enjoy another fun-filled celebration of the season.”
The Governor said he and the First Lady are “personally inviting” all West Virginians to attend.
Immediately following the carnival, the state Division of Culture and History will host the Eighth Annual A. James Manchin Memorial MarbleTournament. For more information about this event, contact Chris Reed at 304-558=0220, extension 185.
