GILBERT — Democrat gubernatorial candidate Jim Justice will visit Mingo County this Saturday, April 30, according to campaign officials.
Former Delegate Harry Keith White and attorney Terry Sammons will sponsor the Justice event, which is scheduled from 6 to 9 p.m., at the Larry Joe Harless Community Center in Gilbert.
The public is invited to come out, meet and visit with Justice who is locked in a Democrat primary to replace current Democrat Governor Earl Ray Tomblin. Tomblin is term-limited from seeking another term. Also running are former U.S. Attorney Booth Goodwin and former State Senate President Jeff Kessler.
Justice is best known as owner of the Greenbrier Resort in White Sulphur Springs but is also coach of the Greenbrier East girls and boys basketball teams.
Earlier, there was speculation that Justice would be at Boone Memorial Hospital in Madison at 4 p.m., Thursday and then attend a State Senator Art Kirkendoll event at 5 p.m. at Logan Middle School. The campaign had not confirmed those two appearances at press time.
