CHARLESTON — Wild, Wonderful West Virginia is encouraging industry partners to submit events, attractions and/or destinations for consideration for the Haunted West Virginia Trail, planned to highlight the state’s haunted history.
“Folks love a good ghost story — whether it’s the legendary Mothman or the Greenbrier Ghost,” said Commissioner of Tourism Amy Shuler Goodwin. “And many find visits to places like Lake Shawnee Amusement Park or the Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum to be thrilling.”
Shuler said the trail will help “travelers plan their paranormal adventures in the Mountain State — providing an inventory of haunted attractions, museum collections and more.”
Industry partners with an event, attraction and/or destination can submit an application online at gotowv.com/haunted-trail-application/ to be considered for the Haunted West Virginia Trail.
