SUMERCO — Ivy Branch ATV Resort owner and operator Ben White said he was “more that a little ticked off” when he returned to his resort Sunday morning.
White explained that he left the Lincoln County business at 12:30 a.m. and “returned a few hours later” at about 6:45. What he did not expect to find was that a thief or thieves had taken advantage of his absence to rob the business.
Later Sunday, he shared a list of items stolen along with offering a reward for information leading to the return of the items stolen.
Among the things missing, White said, is a Stihl chain saw, a new water hose still in Lowe’s packaging, four new Cabela’s padded lounge recliners, tan in color and still in packaging, a Sony AV receiver, a DirecTv receiver, a stereo speaker 10-channel mixer, a 60-inch LG television, and many Dewalt hand tools.
White said video cameras designed to focus on deer at the site recorded the vehicle involved in the theft as a white Nissan Titan pickup truck. The license plate included 7G78 in its lettering.
Many of the items stolen were to be used in this week’s US Army 101st Airborne Reunion.
