‘Salute to Our Health Care Workers’ Parade set

Humtington – The City of Huntington has organized a first-responder parade to salute health care workers at Cabell Huntington Hospital and St. Mary’s Medical Center on Thursday, April 30.
Participating agencies will include Huntington Police, Huntington Fire, Huntington Public Works, Cabell County EMS and more.
Vehicles in the “Salute to Our Health Care Workers Parade” will line up at Huntington Fire Department Centennial Station No. 1, 839 7th Ave., at 11:45 a.m. They will get underway at noon and first travel to Cabell Huntington Hospital and then to St. Mary’s Medical Center.
Participants in the parade will have their sirens and lights on as a salute to health care workers to thank them for keeping the community safe during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The public is welcome to watch the parade along the route while practicing social distancing guidelines. Locations where the public can watch include 8th Street between 7th and 13th avenues, 13th Avenue between 8th and 12th streets, Hal Greer Boulevard between Washington Boulevard and 5th Avenue, and 5th Avenue between Hal Greer Boulevard and 28th Street.
