CORRIDOR CHRONICLE
Opinion
Trump, Rice for President
Although state election officials seem determined to make 2020 the Year of the Absentee Voter, results will eventually be known from the June 9 primary.
It may take long hours, long days, weeks or months, but ballots will.eventually be counted.
We still think it’s wrong for officials to practically force the most fraudulent prone system of voting on the public, but we are prepared to see the results.
For President of the United States, it’s not really a contest. Incumbent Republican Donald Trump is so far ahead of the field, a vote for him is a no-brainer.
From cutting coronavirus deaths dramatically with his swift and firm guiding hand, to giving America its best economy in history, Trump has done an amazing job.
Hounded since election day by.liberal Democrats who have yet to accept his election, Trump has endured more politically motivated hardship than any modern President.
Partisan Democrats, aided by the fake news media, spent three full years “investigating” Russian collusion with the Trump campaign of 2016 without a shred of evidence that it ever happened.
Nevertheless, the President persevered, bringing a robust economy and relative peace abroad.
For these and dozens of other reasons, we enthusiastically endorse the nomination of President Trump by Republican voters.
On the Democrat side, we cannot in good conscience endorse the presumptive nominee, former Vice President Joe Biden.
Why not? Shall we count the reasons?
Biden is weird in his interaction with others, especially noted for “sniffing” young girls in public settings. He is obviously suffering from some sort of dementia that’s impossible to hide. Recently, it’s become clear he was involved in efforts to wrongfully charge General Flynn in a case that foreshadowed the three year Russian witch hunt of Trump. His fingerprints are all over corruption in Ukraine.
We could go on but for no purpose. Biden is simply unqualified to be president.
Thus, we urge Democrats to endorse one of our own, David Lee Rice of Parkersburg.
Oh we know Rice is not going to be nominated or elected but he’s one of us and we can send a message to the world that West Virginians stick together.
And as far as not winning is concerned, no Democrat can beat Trump, so the die is cast.
Rice could lose in November just as big as Biden. Let’s give him a chance to prove it.
