“As the United States Army gathers in Washington D.C. in preparation for a possible confrontation with United States citizens, many Americans are reflecting on the Civil War. But West Virginians may be thinking about the Battle of Blair Mountain.
“President Warren Harding ordered federal troops to Logan County, West Virginia in 1921. It is estimated that 100 Americans died.
“In 2021, President-elect Biden should reflect on what happened at Blair Mountain. Now is not the time for political and divisive rhetoric.
“Biden may want to take President Trump out behind the gym and beat the hell out of him, but he should not want the American Army to shoot American people while China people celebrate their doing so.
